8 Days Tanzania Northern Circuit Safari

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed and received by your safari guide from Mandela Safari Holidays. He will lead you to your Hotel in Arusha or Moshi and brief you about your 10 days Tanzania Safari Holiday.

Early the morning you will have breakfast at the hotel and then drive to Tarangire National park. This park in Tanzanian third largest national park and it is characterized by the amazingly large herds of elephants that can be encountered in this park. The park is famous with its big Baobab trees are one of the other highlights of Tarangire national park and the Tarangire River that flows all year round is the life blood of the park. Lot of animals like predators and the preys alike gather around the river where you can do excellent game viewing.

After breakfast descend for the crater floor with packed lunch for half each day crater tour. Offers shelter to almost 30.000 animals in a neighborhood naturally enclosed by the slopes of the volcano. The Crater elephants are strangely, mainly bulls. There’s little number of black rhino. The bird life is essentially seasonal and is additionally suffering from the ratio of soda and water on the Crater floor. After breakfast you will drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Serengeti National Park, enjoying game viewing and a packed lunch en-route. Add to that an extraordinary population of resident and migratory animals in a constant bid for survival, and you will begin to understand why this place is often called “the world as it was in the beginning”. As soon as you enter the park the wildlife viewing will begin! Search for leopards and lions and watch in awe as zebra, wildebeest appear from amidst the woodlands and plains.e

Starting your day by 8am after a filling breakfast, you will explore the central portion of the Serengeti National Park today and move towards the northern part of the park.
The enroots game drive towards the Kogatende region will offer mild action from resident game. As you approach the northern part of the Serengeti, you will notice the terrain change from the usual plain grassland to a more hilly and broken terrain. The northern region offers a variety of resident game such zebras, topi, gazelle, buffaloes, leopards and lions.
A picnic lunch will be done during the day long drive itself. Based on the time of your arrival you will be able to spend a few hours by the Mara River as migration crossing the river.

As usual, you will finish a good breakfast and begin your day by 8am. In the months between mid Junes to September the migration can be found in this region. From mid June to September, the Mara River in this region offers the most dramatic river crossing of the great migration.
Fierce, deep and heavily rain fed, the river takes an enormous toll on the migrating wildebeest. Watching the wildebeest surging through the torrential flow, some drowning and a few falling prey to lurking crocodiles is an unforgettable sight.
If it’s your lucky day you will be able to witness this natural wonder and watch nature take its course. Tracing the great migration you might even move towards the Lobo valley. The pristine Lobo valley is scattered with woodlands, plains, hills and famous granite Kopjes.
It offers enormous amount of big cat game with lions, leopards and cheetah in plenty. During the dry season the permanent water sources in the valley attract plenty of resident and migratory animals, resulting in excellent game viewing.
During the full day game drive, you will have a stop where you can have your picnic lunch.

Depart after breakfast and head north east to Arusha arriving by Midday at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your outbound flight.
